Conwy Cultre Centre
Sub-contracting for Wynns Construction, OBR completed the roofing element of this project. A culture center next to the historic castle walls that will house a library, public art gallery and multi use offices, the building had a high specification and the roof was to be a felt membrane with a greed sedum roof covering.
OBR were awarded the contractor based on the use of a 25 year felt system. Our Alumasc felt membrane was perfect for the requirements and our Derbigum Black option is a robust and strong membrane allowing a sedum roof coverage.
The Derbigum Black NT waterproofing membrane offers environmental benefits as it is manufactured using a minimum of 25% recycled material, coupled with the green roof and solar panels, this is an excellent example on how a roofing element of any project can drastically aid in a contractors requirements to offer sustainable buildings and BREEAM points.
